It all started with the idea to create a desert island overdrive pedal. We spent years developing and modifying various prototypes until we landed on a pedal that we were so excited about we just had to release it into the world.

If you're like us, the journey in your guitar tone is ever-evolving and the work is never done. We're a growth minded company when it comes to shaping authentic and inspiring sounds. In a way we'd love to think of ourselves as "tone purists" because of our relentless pursuit in staying true to where the music leads us. But, "that sound" we're after today isn't always the same sound we're going for tomorrow. Our desire is to create pedals that remain relevant as your tastes evolve. So like you, we're tone seekers.

We are passionate about creating sounds that put the attention on the player, not on the pedal. Our first release, the Westerlund ONE, is designed to do just that. It gives musicians a tone shaping platform that acts much like a vintage mic preamp. Here at Westerlund we've succeeded in making the ONE our desert island overdrive.
